Non-profit Description: The Wilmington Area Humane Society, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit & incorporated in Ohio as a public charity, operates a volunteer run animal adoption facility for unwanted cats and dogs, located at 5361 U.S. 68 North, Wilmington. Its mission is to promote the welfare of the dogs and cats in Clinton County, provide programs to the residents of the area and to nurture and strengthen the human/animal bond. In addition to the shelter, WAHS provides a spay/neuter voucher program to financially assist low-income, out of work or retired residents with the cost of spay/neuter surgery for their cat/dog; a monthly Trap-Neuter-Release Clinic for feral and barn cats; and educational programs.
